FORMAT13: FACTORY, the 6th FORMAT International Photography Festival, ends with a Grand finalé on Saturday 6th April.
Hosted by Slideluck London and featuring a live performance from The Developer, the closing event takes place at The Chocolate Factory in Derby.
FORMAT’s Grand finalé event will be a unique evening including a pot-luck-style dinner (bring a dish!) and an eclectic programme of over twenty photo-films from international artists, curated by Monica Allende (Photo Editor of The Sunday Times Magazine and founder of the pioneering ‘Spectrum’ section).
The evening also features the premiere a live music performance and film from a residency at the historic John Smedley factory by ‘The Developer’. ‘The Developer’ are musicians John Parish, Seb Rochford, Catherine Graindorge, Cory Mwamba and Pete Judge with film maker Gavin Bush. Their unique multi-artist residency in a new commission responding to the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site at John Smedley is part of FORMAT13, using a combination of still photography and archive images.

Founded in 2004, FORMAT International Photography Festival presents the best of emerging international talent, showcasing it alongside the masters of photography and has established itself as a world class biennale and must-see event in the photographic calendar. FORMAT is directed by Louise Clements, organised and hosted by QUAD and the University of Derby.
