'Drumming in the mud' is the title of Kate Wrigglesworth's final collection, Hatch'd caught up with her to find out more.
HM: What inspired your collection?
KW: My collection was inspired by music festivals, Glastonbury festival in particular. Within my collection I wanted to capture the quirky festival vibe and make my garments practical for the unexpected English weather. I did this by creating a fun festival inspired print and using Ripstop Nylon (tent fabric) to make the garments waterproof.
HM: What's been the highlight of your studies?
KW: The highlight of my studies has definitly been my final year with the designing and making of my collection, I especially enjoyed the freedom of creativity and seeing the end results in the photoshoot.
HM: What are your plans for after you graduate?
KW: I am hoping to find a job within the fashion industry either within buying or pattern cutting.
