Tracey Meek is one of Derby's most active artists.
I remember first seeing Tracey's work a few years ago at The QUAD, and I was blown away by it.
She is very much a people watcher and uses her observations to create illustrations that are honest, weird, wonderful and often dream like. As well as her drawings and paintings, she creates russian dolls, bird boxes, badges, jewellery and pretty much anything else she puts her mind to.
Tracey also regularly runs workshops, including the young mum's group at QUAD. She also wants to start running some fimo jewellery making sessions, to make necklaces similar to the one shown here.
Some of her work can be currently seen at 109C Monk Street, Derby, at the new Artsmith LIVE gallery. The exhibition is running until 19th February.
To see more of her work head to her and to buy some of her work head to her Etsy page.
