HM: Tell us a bit more about what you do...
LW: I'm a freelance illustrator, recently graduated from Birmingham City University specialising in children's book illustration. I've recently made the decision to start participating in craft fairs selling prints and handmade items.
HM: How did you find out about Pennyfest?
LW: I first heard about Pennyfest through twitter after a friend recommended it a good place to start for my first craft fair.
HM: How important are events like this to Derby and to you personally?
LW: Events like this are great for Derby, as it gives local artists and students a great place to showcase their work and helps highlights derby as a creative city. From a personal angle it would be great opportunity to meet other local creatives and get a feel for the art scene in Derby having recently moved back. I also feel its a brilliant cause to support and I'm proud to be a part of it.
HM: What are you looking forward to most about Pennyfest?
LW: I'm looking forward to meeting lots of new people and based on what I've heard about the previous events it sounds like it should be a really fun day! :)
HM: Where can we find out more about your work?
